Our cake shop is located approximately 7 miles from Liverpool City Centre and 12 miles from Southport Town Centre.
We are approximately 20 minutes from the main motorway links - M57 & M58.
No appointment is necessary.we invite you to browse our relaxing showroom at total ease, completely undisturbed and without any obligation. We will never ‘pressure sell’.
Complimentary light refreshments, wine and free sample cakes are always available with our compliments, to make your visit a very special experience.
The most important thing for us is for you to be 100% happy with our products and our personalised customer service.
Free car parking facilities are available at the back of our showroom which you are welcome to use on your arrival.

Established in 1984 'David Cakes of Distinction' prides itself on producing the highest quality hand crafted wedding, civil ceremony and civil partnership cakes, all of which are featured on this specialised cake website which has been designed and created by David himself.
Cake artists and owners David MacCarfrae and his partner Edward Windsor have been proud to offer completely unique creations over the past 20 years for a wide range of clients from The Royal Family and celebrities to the general public.
David and Edward are recognised within the industry as leaders of their craft and are constantly developing new and creative techniques in the world of cake decoration and sculpture, winner of many prestigious awards along the way.
Proving anything is possible within the limits of gravity and physics, David and Ed can take your cake fantasy and turn it into a delicious reality!

We specialise in traditional and contemporary cake decorating - Smooth edged roll-out icing and Old English Royal Icing coating and over-piping techniques.
Cakes are available in Vanilla Sponge, Carrot Cake ,Chocolate Fudge Cake and our famous ‘Royal Wedding’ Fruit Cake.
There are also over 16 assorted fudge fillings to choose from: including Smooth Vanilla Buttercream & Frosting, Double Chocolate, Raspberry and Vanilla Sundae, Lemon Sherbet, Choc n’ orange, Choc n’ mint, Choc n Black Cherry.
Please note our cakes are prepared in an environment where nuts are present.
Prices start from £10 for Celebration Cakes and £75 for Wedding Cakes, Civil Ceremony Cakes and Civil Partnership Cakes. The cake shop has over 200 cake creations on permanent display and there are over 2000 design ideas featured on this website.
